Christian Concern Event

Grace Church and Scotter district is hosting a short afternoon conference with a speaker from Christian concern on Saturday13th July at 2PM to be held at Scotter village hall.

Christian Concern is a credible organisation who campaign on a wide range of issues for Christian values to be upheld in society. The organisation is passionate about bringing the love, justice, truth, freedom and hope of of Jesus to the heart of society. Their legal centre is very active in supporting Christians who are being compromised in maintaining Christian ethics and principles, in some cases loosing jobs because of their stance.

The speaker for this event will be Benjamin John, who is a member of the general Synod of the Church of England.

He will be speaking about the current state of our nation and how we can win our nation for Christ.

Looking back at developing trends in our nation in the last 50 years, Ben will discuss how these have impacted society and how Christians should respond to key issues affecting us today, including the more controversial issues such as abortion and transgenderism.

During the afternoon there will also be an opportunity  for a time of questions and answers.

Trustees and Elders of Grace Church

About Us

The underlying values printed below form a standard that is constantly revisited and help keep us focused on our aim as a Church and through which leadership and people seek to lead Godly lives and to develop Christian character:

Love and Acceptance. Openness and Transparency. Oneness and Unity. Grace and Forgiveness. Restoration and Outreach. Learning and Growing. Church Health as well as Church Growth.

We seek to operate a team leadership approach. We attempt to demonstrate this through an eldership structure supported by men who show gifting within the Biblical principles of apostolic, prophetic, pastoral, teaching and evangelistic gifting. (Ephesians 4 v 11).

At Grace Church

We also aim to promote the Christian way of life as that which is good for the individual and the community and which is glorifying to God.

As a fellowship of believers we are concerned to create an environment where everyone who meets with us can:
  • Feel they are in a place where they sense the presence of God
  • Feel they are in a place where their faith in the Christ can grow
  • Feel that they are in a place where they truly belong

Our Mission and Values

We are a fellowship of Christian believers drawn from all walks of life and with a variety of Christian denominational backgrounds such as Anglican, Pentecostal, Methodist.

We share a common belief in Jesus Christ – that He is the only begotten Son of God and that He has been sent by God to be the Saviour of the world.

We believe He was crucified on account of our sins and raised again for our justification and we trust wholly in Him for the salvation of our souls and the redemption of our lives.

We believe this living Christ is actively present in our lives and this affects how we live and what aspire to be and do.

We believe in God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The ministry and workings of God’s Holy Spirit in our lives is vital to our Christian experience and makes it real and effective and we continually seek the blessing of His fullness and power to be upon us.

w

Our aim is to proclaim the gospel of Christ through what we say and by how we behave and act so that the Christ of the gospel might become known and believed in by all who are willing to receive Him.
